Rear Rack & Cargo Basket Installation Guide

Follow the steps below to install the rear rack and cargo basket extension on your Ariel Rider e-bike.

Required Tools & Hardware

  • 4mm Allen wrench
  • Wrench / socket for basket nuts
  • 6 × Frame mounting bolts
  • 12 × Cargo basket bolts, washers, and nuts
  • 4 × Rubber washers

Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Part 1: Installing the Rear Rack

  1. Align the rack: Line up the mounting holes on the rear rack with the corresponding threaded holes on the bike frame.
  2. Start bolts by hand: Carefully thread the 6 mounting bolts into the frame by hand to avoid cross-threading.
  3. Tighten hardware: Use a 4mm Allen wrench to tighten all 6 bolts securely.

Part 2: Installing the Cargo Basket & Extension

  1. Prep basket bolts: Insert 4 bolts down through the mounting holes on the bottom of the main cargo basket.
  2. Secure rubber washers: Slide a rubber washer onto the end of each bolt under the basket to hold them in place and reduce vibration.
  3. Position basket on rack: Align the 4 basket bolts with the mounting holes on the top of the rear rack.
  4. Fasten basket: Slide a metal washer onto the bottom of each bolt, thread on a nut, and tighten firmly.
  5. Align basket extension: Position the basket extension over the main basket, lining up the mounting holes.
  6. Insert extension hardware: Slide the remaining 8 bolts through the extension and main basket frame.
  7. Secure extension: Place a metal washer and thread a nut onto each bolt. Tighten all 8 nuts securely to finish the installation.
