Rear Rack & Cargo Basket Installation Guide
Follow the steps below to install the rear rack and cargo basket extension on your Ariel Rider e-bike.
Required Tools & Hardware
- 4mm Allen wrench
- Wrench / socket for basket nuts
- 6 × Frame mounting bolts
- 12 × Cargo basket bolts, washers, and nuts
- 4 × Rubber washers
Step-by-Step Installation Instructions
Part 1: Installing the Rear Rack
- Align the rack: Line up the mounting holes on the rear rack with the corresponding threaded holes on the bike frame.
- Start bolts by hand: Carefully thread the 6 mounting bolts into the frame by hand to avoid cross-threading.
- Tighten hardware: Use a 4mm Allen wrench to tighten all 6 bolts securely.
Part 2: Installing the Cargo Basket & Extension
- Prep basket bolts: Insert 4 bolts down through the mounting holes on the bottom of the main cargo basket.
- Secure rubber washers: Slide a rubber washer onto the end of each bolt under the basket to hold them in place and reduce vibration.
- Position basket on rack: Align the 4 basket bolts with the mounting holes on the top of the rear rack.
- Fasten basket: Slide a metal washer onto the bottom of each bolt, thread on a nut, and tighten firmly.
- Align basket extension: Position the basket extension over the main basket, lining up the mounting holes.
- Insert extension hardware: Slide the remaining 8 bolts through the extension and main basket frame.
- Secure extension: Place a metal washer and thread a nut onto each bolt. Tighten all 8 nuts securely to finish the installation.
