Rear Rack, Cargo Basket, & Passenger Seat Installation Guide
The Ariel Rider Kepler includes a integrated factory rear rack and hardware designed to connect directly to standard cargo baskets (as well as front rack mounting). However, Grizzly and pre-2025 X-Class models require a separate Cargo Plus Rear Rack before installing rear accessories.
*Note: Rear rack guidelines apply to X-Class models produced prior to 2025.

Cargo Rack Assembly & Mounting:
Step-by-Step Installation Instructions
Part 1: Installing the Rear Rack (X-Class & Grizzly)
Required Tools: 5mm Allen wrench, 10mm wrench
- Place rubber washers: Position black rubber washers over the mounting holes on the bike frame to protect the finish and prevent vibration noise.
- Align the rack: Place the rear rack onto the frame so its mounting holes align directly with the rubber washers and frame holes.
- Fasten hardware:Secure the rack using the supplied bolts, silver flat washers, and nuts. Tighten down using a 5mm Allen wrench and 10mm wrench.

Part 2: Relocating the Tail Light
Required Tools: 8mm wrench, wire snips / flush cutters, zip ties
- Dismount stock tail light: Clip any securing zip ties, then remove the two mounting bolts using an 8mm wrench. Disconnect the tail light harness by pulling the quick-connect plugs straight apart.
- Relocate to rear rack:Attach the tail light extension cable to the main harness. Mount the tail light to the designated bracket on the rear of the rack. Route the cable neatly along the rack frame, securing it with 3 zip ties, and snip excess zip-tie tails.

Part 3: Installing the Passenger Seat (Optional)
Required Tools: 10mm wrench
- Swap hardware:If the rear rack is already mounted, remove the top frame-securing nuts and bolts. The longer passenger seat hardware will be used to clamp both components down simultaneously.

- Tighten seat bolts: Use a 10mm wrench to securely fasten the passenger seat onto the rear rack.
Part 4: Installing the Cargo Basket
Required Tools: 3mm Allen wrench
- Place rubber washers:Set rubber washers directly over the top mounting holes of the rear rack.

- Secure basket:Position the cargo basket over the washers. Using a 3mm Allen wrench, fasten the 4 bolts into the rack. Ensure the split lock washer is positioned on top of the flat washer before tightening.
