Safety FAQS (Bike + Battery/Charger Safety)

Do I need a license for your Bikes?

You must be at least 16 years old to ride an electric bike in most states. However, you do not need to hold a driver's license to be able to ride an electric bike. Please refer to your own state's DOL (or equivalent) website.

How fast do your bikes go?:

Out of the box, the bike goes 20mph. Our bikes are Class 2 electric moped bikes. *On private road use only and where legally allowed. Please check your local electric moped bike laws/regulations to make sure you’re not breaking any laws. Ariel Rider

Are your bikes street legal?

Out of the box, our bikes go 20mph. Please consult your local rules and regulation on the use of Electric Moped Bicycles.

Pre-Ride Safety Checklist

Notice: Before each ride, and after every 25-45 miles, we advise following the pre-ride safety checklist in the table below. Your cables, spokes, and chain will stretch after an initial break-in period of 50-100 mi (80-160 km), and bolted connections
