Grizzly 72v PPB - Vehicle CarriersUpdated 2 days ago
At 180 lbs (before adding accessories or cargo), the Grizzly 72V exceeds the weight capacity of standard bicycle racks. Follow these transport guidelines to ensure safe loading, securing, and transit.

Safe Transport & Loading Guidelines
- Verify Carrier Rating: Use only a hitch-mounted rack, loading ramp, tie-down system, and vehicle tongue-weight capacity specifically rated for the full weight of the vehicle.
- Calculate Total Weight: Always factor the weight of battery packs, installed accessories, rack adapters, and loading ramps into your total payload calculation.
- Follow Manufacturer Limits: Strictly observe all weight, speed, and securing instructions provided by both your vehicle and hitch rack manufacturers.
- Use Proper Lifting Techniques: Always use two or more people—or a rated loading winch—to roll the bike up a ramp or lift it onto the carrier.
- Secure at Approved Frame Points: Anchor tie-down straps around solid frame tubes. Do NOT crush or place heavy strap tension over hydraulic brake hoses, electrical wiring, battery cases, fenders, the display screen, or lighting fixtures.
- Lock Steering & Wheels: Strap both front and rear wheels to the carrier tray to prevent rotation, and secure the handlebars to prevent swaying during transit.
- Perform a Safety Stop: Drive a short distance (1–2 miles) after loading, then pull over to recheck and retighten every strap, buckle, and hitch connection.
CRITICAL WARNING: Never transport the Grizzly 72V on a rack rated only for standard bicycles or lightweight powered bikes. Carrier failure on public roads can cause severe vehicle damage and endanger other drivers.
