At Ariel Rider, we know how much you value your motorized bike, and we want to help you get back on the road with confidence. If your bike is displaying an error code, making a strange noise, or simply not performing correctly, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered.

This guide walks you through the initial troubleshooting steps to diagnose and resolve common Ariel Rider bike issues. Follow these steps to identify potential problems and find the best solution.

1. Check for Error Codes

Look at the bottom of the display for any error codes.

Dissipate the controllers energy, you can view this tutorial on how to power-cycle.

2. Inspect and Reconnect the Rear Motor Cable

Turn off the bike’s power.

  • Disconnect the rear motor cable at the connection point near the kickstand.
  • Take clear, close-up photos of both cable ends and send them to our customer support team at [email protected].
  • Use a flash or direct light to ensure the pin sleeves and pins are visible.
  • Reconnect the cable securely.
  • Ensure the connection is fully seated and tight to prevent issues.

3. Check for Cable Damage

  • Inspect the entire visible length of the rear motor cable.
  • Pay extra attention to where the cable enters the rear motor.
  • This area is covered by a spring that must be pulled back for a full inspection.
  • For best results, remove the wheel before checking.

If you find any signs of damage, take a photo and send it for reference.
