How to Adjust Brake Lever Reach
Adjusting your brake levers allows you to customize the reach distance to match your hand size for improved comfort and control.
Important: Always turn off and power cycle your e-bike before making any mechanical adjustments or repairs.
Step-by-Step Adjustment Instructions
- Power down: Turn off the display and remove the battery. Power cycle the bike to discharge any remaining electrical current.
- Locate the reach adjustment screw:Find the small adjustment screw and locknut located near the pivot point of the brake lever handle.
- Adjust lever reach: Loosen the locknut. Turn the reach adjustment screw clockwise to bring the lever closer to the handlebar (shorter reach) or counterclockwise to move it further away (longer reach).
- Secure the setting: Tighten the locknut firmly back in place once the lever is at your preferred distance.
- Test: Squeeze the lever multiple times before riding to ensure it moves smoothly and engages the brakes effectively without touching the handlebar grip.
