Turn off the bike: Locate the power button, usually on the display. Press and hold it until the display turns off completely and any lights are extinguished.
Disconnect the battery: Find the latch or lock mechanism and carefully detach the battery.
Find a safe, open area with little traffic and few obstacles.
Make sure your tires are properly inflated and your brakes are free of any debris.
Warm up your brakes by gently applying them a few times while riding at low speed.
Begin the bedding process by accelerating to about 15-20 mph.
Apply moderate pressure to the brakes, slowing down to about 5 mph without coming to a complete stop.
Release the brakes and accelerate back up to speed.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 for 10-15 cycles.
Let your brakes cool down for a few minutes.
Repeat steps 5-8, but this time apply slightly more pressure to the brakes.
Let your brakes cool down completely.
Test your brakes to make sure they are working properly. They should feel smooth and powerful.
