How to adjust the stem angle on Kepler (V1)Updated 7 days ago
Adjusting your stem is an important step when setting up your bike. It enables you to make sure that you have the best posture possible for your ride, which keeps you both comfortable and safe.
- Loosen the stem clamp bolt on the drive(right) side of the stem.
- Loosen the stem bolt, visible from the top of the stem.
- This ensures that there is no pressure on the stem.
- Loosen the collar clamp bolts, on the front of the stem collar.
- This ensures that there is no pressure on the stem.
- Once loose remove the stem clamp bolt from the stem by tapping it out with the allen wrench used to loosen it.
- OPTIONAL: Grease the caps as shown in the video.
- Adjust the stem angle.
- Reinstall the components in the following order:
- Stem Clamp Bolt
- Stem Clamp Spring
- Stem Clamp Cap
- Ensure that the pin is properly aligned.
- Tighten the Stem Clamp bolt while the stem is at your desired angle
- Tighten the stem bolt, visible from the top of the stem
- Tighten the collar clamp bolts, on the front of the stem collar
