Kepler Dual Battery: Assembly Instructions and VideoUpdated 2 days ago
Welcome to the Ariel Rider family! Follow this step-by-step guide to safely unbox and assemble your new Kepler.
Phase 1: Unboxing & Preparation
Save the Box
Carefully open the box and keep all packaging for at least 14 days. If your bike was damaged during shipping, the original box and packing materials are required to process a return or shipping claim.
Remove Packaging
Remove all protective foam and cardboard
Cut and remove any zip ties securing components
Locate Your Tools
Open the box labeled “Tool Set.” Inside you’ll find:
Tool bag (hex wrenches and open-end wrenches)
Pedals
Assembly grease
Important: Your battery chargers are located at the very bottom of the main box, underneath the foam padding.
Phase 2: Handlebar Installation
Prepare the Stem
Remove the protective faceplate from the top of the stem
Make sure the two stem spacers remain in place
Install the Handlebars
Place the handlebar assembly onto the stem
Align the handlebars so they are straight with the front wheel
Secure the Bars
Using a 5mm hex wrench:
Tighten the top compression bolt first
Tighten the two front clamping bolts to fully secure the handlebars
Phase 3: Front Wheel Installation
Remove the Shipping Plate
Use a 15mm open-end wrench to loosen the axle nuts
Remove and discard the plastic shipping plate from the bottom of the fork
Prepare the Brakes
Remove the plastic brake pad spacer (wedge) between the brake pads
Do not squeeze the brake lever while the spacer is removed and the wheel is not installed
Install the Wheel
Lift the front of the bike (or have someone assist)
Slide the wheel axle fully into the fork dropouts
Secure the Axle
Hand-tighten both axle nuts
Use a wrench to torque each nut to 50 Nm
Phase 4: Pedals & Drivetrain Components
Apply Grease
Apply a small amount of assembly grease to the threads of both pedals
Install the Pedals
Right Pedal (R): Chain side of the bike, tighten clockwise
Left Pedal (L): Non-chain side, reverse-threaded, tighten counter-clockwise
Installing pedals on the wrong side can damage the crank arms.
Phase 5: Fenders & Headlight
Headlight Installation
Locate the two M6 bolts on the lower fork crown
Mount the headlight and tighten using a 5mm hex wrench
Front Fender Installation
Remove the nut from the bolt on the fork stabilizing crossbar (above the tire)
Slide the fender between the tire and crossbar
Position the fender tab against the back of the crossbar
Reinstall the nut and tighten using:
10mm open-end wrench
5mm hex wrench
Fender Stays
Attach the metal fender stays to the fork legs
Secure using a 4mm hex wrench
Phase 6: Electrical Connections
Headlight Connection
Connect the headlight to the main wiring harness using the 7-pin connector
Display Connection
Locate the green 5-pin connector
Carefully plug it into the back of the display
Align the internal pins before inserting. Do not force the connection.
