Kepler Dual Battery: Error code 08Updated 15 days ago
Error Code 08 indicates a Motor Hall Sensor error. Follow these troubleshooting steps to discharge residual power and inspect your connections.
Step 1: Power Cycle the E-Bike
Power cycling clears residual current from the electrical system to prevent short circuits during inspection.
- Turn off the bike and remove the main battery.
- With the battery removed, press and hold the power button on the display until the screen flashes and turns off completely.
Step 2: Inspect Hardware & Connections
After power cycling, perform the following physical inspections:
- Inspect Connector Pins: Unplug the main motor quick-disconnect connector. Take clear, well-lit photos of the connector pins on both the male and female sides (use flash/flashlight) to check for bent, recessed, or burned pins.
- Inspect Main Cable Harness: Carefully examine the entire motor cable path from the hub motor all the way to the controller housing. Check for any cuts, abrasions, or pinched wires.
- Inspect Hub Motor Cable Exit: Pull back the protective spring wrap where the cable exits the hub axle to check for wire shearing, rubbing, or physical damage.
Note: If you spot any bent pins or cable damage, attach clear photos when submitting your ticket so our technicians can process replacement parts quickly.
