Step 1: Turn on the batteries and check initial power
Turn on batteries
Check voltage using battery indicator (hold down button)
Power up bike
Pull the brake lever to check the display indicator (!)
Verify tail light and brake light function
Step 2: Test the headlight and Power Cycle your bike
Hold the plus button on the left handlebar keypad to test the headlight
Turn off batteries
Remove both batteries
Power cycle the bike by holding the power button on the display keypad
Step 3: Inspect wire harness connections
Check the battery connector
Inspect the motor selector switch
Examine the pin communication connection
Verify all pins are straight and unburnt
Confirm pins are properly seated with a secure clip
Step 4: Check PAS and display connections
Inspect pedal assist sensor (PAS) connection
Ensure connector arrows align when connecting
Pull on connectors (not wires) when disconnecting
Verify display connector is properly seated
Check arrow alignment during reassembly
Disconnect and inspect brake cut off switches
Step 5: Examine motor cable
Check all pins are straight and properly placed
Look for connector damage
Inspect wire for breaks, especially at motor junction
Verify pins are not bent or burnt
Step 6: Handle headlight connections safely
Power cycle before checking pins
Never check pins while bike is powered
Don't connect light to powered bike
Step 7: Perform factory reset
Double click mode button on keypad
Navigate to settings
Scroll to three dots
Select factory settings
Confirm reset
Step 8: Final checks
Test bike rolls freely forward and backward when powered off
Stand beside bike while testing movement
Use voltmeter to check battery voltage (should be 48-58 volts)
Step 9: Documentation
Record all findings
