What is pedal assist?Updated 5 months ago
Pedal Assist activates the motor automatically as you pedal, eliminating the need to use a throttle.
There are two types of Pedal Assist systems:
- Cadence Sensor: A cadence sensor detects if you are pedaling and triggers the motor accordingly. It works based on the rotation of the pedals, regardless of how much force you apply.
- Torque Sensor: A torque sensor measures how hard you’re pedaling and adjusts motor assistance accordingly. It provides a dynamic ride by responding to the force you apply to the pedals.
Our current lineup is equipped with cadence sensors.
