Grizzly 72v PPB - Error Code E05Updated 2 days ago

Error code E05 indicates that your motor temperature has exceeded safe operating limits. This thermal protection mode typically triggers during long hill climbs, high-load riding relying solely on throttle without pedaling assistance, or riding in extreme ambient temperatures.

CRITICAL WARNING: Always power cycle—Dissipate Controller Energy (DCE)—your motorized bike before disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical components. Step-by-step guidance is available in our Power Cycle (DCE) Guide.

Troubleshooting Steps for Error E05

  1. Cool Down the Motor: Park your motorized bike in a cool, shaded area out of direct sunlight.
  2. Allow Sufficient Time: Leave the bike powered off and stationary for a minimum of 30 minutes to allow the internal motor core and hub shell to fully cool down.
  3. Power On & Test: Power the bike back on after 30 minutes to verify if Error E05 has cleared from the display.
