Grizzly 72v PPB - Error Code E06Updated 5 days ago
Error code E06 indicates an under-voltage fault on your 72V system, meaning total operating voltage has dropped below the low-voltage cutoff threshold of 60V. This typically occurs when the battery pack is depleted or if a battery connection drops under heavy motor load.
CRITICAL WARNING: Always power cycle—Dissipate Controller Energy (DCE)—your motorized bike before disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical components. On dual-battery models, both batteries must be removed to perform a proper DCE. Step-by-step guidance is available in our Power Cycle (DCE) Guide.
Troubleshooting Steps for Error E06 (72V Models)
- Fully Charge Both Batteries: Connect your OEM chargers and allow both battery packs to reach a full 100% charge before retesting.
- Power Cycle (DCE - Both Batteries): Turn off the bike, remove both batteries from the frame, and perform a full DCE power cycle to dissipate residual power and reset controller memory. Leave both batteries off for step 3.
- Inspect Battery Terminals: While the bike is powered off and drained of residual energy, inspect the battery and frame discharge terminals for corrosion, bent pins, debris, or signs of electrical arcing. Ensure both batteries seat firmly and latch securely into their cradles.
- Reinstall Batteries & Power On: Reinstall both batteries securely, turn both power switches ON, and power on the bike display to verify if Error E06 clears.
