Grizzly 72v PPB - Error Code E10Updated 6 days ago
Error code E10 indicates a motor Hall sensor fault, meaning the controller is not receiving position signals from the internal sensors inside the motor.
CRITICAL WARNING: Always power cycle—Dissipate Controller Energy (DCE)—your motorized bike before disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical components. On dual-battery models, both batteries must be removed to perform a proper DCE. Step-by-step guidance is available in our Power Cycle (DCE) Guide.
Troubleshooting Steps for Error E10
- Power Cycle (DCE - Both Batteries): Turn off the bike, remove both batteries from the frame, and perform a full DCE power cycle to dissipate residual controller power and clear error memory. Leave both batteries off for steps 2 and 3.
- Inspect Motor Cable & Moisture:While the bike is powered off and drained of stored energy, examine the entire length of the motor cable—especially near the rear axle dropout cutout—for physical damage, cuts, crushed wire insulation, or signs of water ingress.
- Note: If moisture or water ingress is present near the quick-disconnect plug, allow the connector and cable to dry completely before proceeding.
- Check Quick-Disconnect Plug: Unplug the main motor quick-connector, check internal pins for bending, corrosion, or damage, and firmly press the connector back together, ensuring directional alignment arrows on the plug housing line up perfectly.
- Reinstall Batteries & Test: Reinstall both batteries, power on the bike display to verify if Error E10 clears, and perform a low-speed test ride.
