Grizzly 72v PPB - Error Code E15Updated 4 days ago

Error code E15 indicates a critical under-voltage condition on the down tube battery, meaning its voltage level has dropped below its rated safe operating threshold.

CRITICAL WARNING: Always power cycle—Dissipate Controller Energy (DCE)—your motorized bike before disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical components. On dual-battery models, both batteries must be removed to perform a proper DCE. Step-by-step guidance is available in our Power Cycle (DCE) Guide.

Troubleshooting Steps for Error E15

  1. Stop Riding Immediately: Cease using motor power right away and safely bring the vehicle to a stop. Operating or forcing the battery to drain below its safe voltage threshold can permanently damage internal battery cells.
  2. Power Cycle (DCE - Both Batteries): Turn off the bike display, remove both batteries from the frame, and perform a full DCE power cycle to dissipate residual controller energy. Leave both batteries off for step 3.
  3. Recharge & Balance Down Tube Battery: Connect the down tube battery to its charger until the charger indicator light turns solid green. Leave it connected to the active charger for an additional 1 to 2 hours (do not exceed 2 hours) to allow the internal Battery Management System (BMS) to balance the cell groups.
  4. Reinstall Batteries & Test: Reinstall both fully charged batteries securely onto the frame, and power on the display to verify if Error E15 clears.
