Grizzly 72v PPB - Error Code E16Updated 4 days ago

Error code E16 indicates an over-voltage condition detected in the top tube battery pack, meaning its voltage level has exceeded safe operating limits.

DANGER / IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED: If you see Error E16, stop charging the battery immediately and unplug the charger from the wall. Do not attempt to charge, ride, or drain this battery pack.
CRITICAL WARNING: Always power cycle—Dissipate Controller Energy (DCE)—your motorized bike before disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical components. On dual-battery models, both batteries must be removed to perform a proper DCE. Step-by-step guidance is available in our Power Cycle (DCE) Guide.

Required Safety Protocol for Error E16

  1. Disconnect Charger Immediately: Unplug the charger from the wall outlet and disconnect it from the top tube battery charge port right away.
  2. Power Cycle (DCE - Both Batteries): Turn off the display, safely remove both batteries from the frame, and perform a full DCE power cycle to clear residual controller energy.
  3. Isolate the Battery Pack: Place the top tube battery in a safe, dry, non-flammable location away from heat sources and combustible materials. Do not attempt to reinstall, charge, or operate the bike with this battery pack.
  4. Contact Technical Support: Reach out to our technical support team immediately for specialized guidance before taking any further action.
