Grizzly 72v PPB - Error Code E17Updated 6 days ago

Error code E17 indicates a critical under-voltage condition on the top tube battery, meaning its voltage level has dropped below its safe operating threshold.

DANGER / IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED: If you see Error E17, stop riding immediately and do not attempt to recharge or drain this battery pack further, as forcing power through a critically depleted battery can cause severe cell damage.
CRITICAL WARNING: Always power cycle—Dissipate Controller Energy (DCE)—your motorized bike before disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical components. On dual-battery models, both batteries must be removed to perform a proper DCE. Step-by-step guidance is available in our Power Cycle (DCE) Guide.

Required Safety Protocol for Error E17

  1. Stop Riding Immediately: Cease using motor power right away and safely bring the vehicle to a stop. Operating or forcing the battery to drain below its safe voltage threshold can permanently damage internal battery cells.
  2. Power Cycle (DCE - Both Batteries): Turn off the display, safely remove both batteries from the frame, and perform a full DCE power cycle to dissipate residual power from the controller.
  3. Do Not Attempt Recharging: Leave the top tube battery disconnected and do not plug it into the charger until consulting technical support.
  4. Contact Technical Support: Reach out to our support team immediately through our contact form so we can evaluate the battery state safely.
