Grizzly 72v PPB - Error Code E19Updated 2 days ago
Error code E19 indicates a main contactor fault, meaning the high-voltage relay has failed to close correctly at power-on or has remained stuck closed at power-off.
DANGER / IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED: A stuck or failing contactor involves high-voltage switching. Do not attempt to force ride or operate the bike while Error E19 is active.
CRITICAL WARNING: Always power cycle—Dissipate Controller Energy (DCE)—your motorized bike before disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical components. On dual-battery models, both batteries must be removed to perform a proper DCE. Step-by-step guidance is available in our Power Cycle (DCE) Guide.
Troubleshooting Steps for Error E19
- Cycle the Main Power Switch: Turn the main power switch ON and OFF three times in succession to attempt resetting the internal contactor mechanism.
- Power Cycle (DCE - Both Batteries): If the error remains, turn off the bike, remove both batteries from the frame, and perform a full DCE power cycle to dissipate residual controller energy.
- Inspect Key Wiring & Connectors: While both batteries are removed and residual energy is drained, inspect visible main power wiring and battery contacts for signs of physical damage, loose connections, or arcing.
- Reinstall & Test: Reinstall both batteries, switch on the power, and check if Error E19 clears from the display.
Need Further Assistance?
If error code E19 persists after cycling the power switch and performing a full dual-battery DCE power cycle, stop immediately and do not attempt to ride the bike. Please reach out to our technical support team right away through our Contact Form.
IMPORTANT: Photos and videos are essential for resolving technical support tickets. Please attach clear photos of your battery discharge terminals and a video showing the display screen behavior when cycling the power switch.
