Grizzly 72v PPB - Error Code E24Updated 2 days ago
Error code E24 indicates that the charger has exceeded its safe operating temperature threshold during a charging cycle.
CRITICAL WARNING: Always power cycle—Dissipate Controller Energy (DCE)—your motorized bike before disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical components. On dual-battery models, both batteries must be removed to perform a proper DCE. Step-by-step guidance is available in our Power Cycle (DCE) Guide.
Troubleshooting Steps for Error E24
- Disconnect the Charger: Immediately unplug the charger from the wall outlet and disconnect the charging cable from the battery port.
- Relocate to a Well-Ventilated Area: Move the charger to a cool, flat, hard, well-ventilated surface out of direct sunlight. Never operate chargers on soft surfaces like carpets, beds, or blankets that block cooling vents.
- Power Cycle (DCE - Both Batteries): Turn off the bike, remove both batteries from the frame, and perform a full DCE power cycle to dissipate residual power and reset error status. Leave both batteries off for step 4.
- Allow Charger to Cool: Let the charger unit rest undisturbed for a minimum of 30 minutes until it feels cool to the touch.
- Reconnect & Resume Charging: Reinstall both batteries, reconnect the charger, and monitor to ensure normal charging operation resumes.
