Grizzly 72v PPB - Error Code E26Updated a day ago

Error code E26 indicates a microSD card fault, meaning the display unit is unable to read, write, or recognize the inserted memory card.

CRITICAL WARNING: Always power cycle—Dissipate Controller Energy (DCE)—your motorized bike before disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical components. On dual-battery models, both batteries must be removed to perform a proper DCE. Step-by-step guidance is available in our Power Cycle (DCE) Guide.

Troubleshooting Steps for Error E26

  1. Power Cycle (DCE - Both Batteries): Turn off the bike, remove both batteries from the frame, and perform a full DCE power cycle to clear system memory. Leave both batteries off for step 2.
  2. Remove & Inspect MicroSD Card: Carefully remove the microSD card from the display slot. Verify that the physical write-lock switch (if using an SD adapter) is in the OFF / Unlocked position and check the card contacts for dust or damage.
  3. Format MicroSD Card: Reinsert the card into the display, power on the bike, navigate to the system settings menu on your display, and format the microSD card to exFAT. Note: Formatting will erase existing logs/data on the card.
  4. Re-seat & Test: Turn off the display, safely remove and reinsert the card to ensure it latches firmly in the slot, then power on the bike to verify if Error E26 clears.
