Unpack the bike

It is important to be careful when cutting the zip ties to ensure you don't damage the cable or the frame.

We will want to install the handlebars once most of the zipties and foam are removed the first step is to unscrew the stem faceplate.

Place the handle bars into the stem and set the stem faceplate in place by finger tighteningthe bolts in place.

Adjust the handle bars to the angle that will be comfortable for your riding style, and then tighten down the faceplate bolts to hold the handlebars in place. Note: When tightening the stem faceplate bolts use a star pattern to ensure that they tighten evenly to securely hold the handlebars in place.

With the handlebars in place we can get the front wheel installed.

The first step is to remove the protective rod from between the forks at the drop outs.

Then place the front wheel between for forks, keeping the rotor on the left, brake, side of the bike. Making sure that the drop outs are aligned with with axle, place the forks down on the axle of the motor wheel, making sure that the torque arms and washers are on the outside of the drop outs.

Snug up the axle nuts to finger tightness, and then using the included tools tighten the torque arm bolts on both drop outs.

Using your torque wrench tighten the axle nuts to 4-50Nm of force. Please check that these are secure before each ride.

Since we just finished with the front wheel, next we want to instal the caliper on the fork arms.

Next we can instal the headlight onto the fork using the included hardware and mounting bracket. Do not plug it in just yet though.

Once the headlight is installed you can instal the front fender.

Now that the front fender is installed, it's time to power cycle your bike before we connect any of the electronic components, like the headlight. You can review power cycling here

Now that you have power cycled your bike it is time to plug in the headlight, make sure the arrows on the connections are aligned and press them directly together, with no twisting or bending.

Finally it is time to install the pedals, please be cautious as the pedals can be easy to cross thread.

Now that everything is installed you can reinstall the batteries, turn on the bike and after acquainting your self with the features and components of the bike you are ready to ride!
