Motor Core Return Instructions

Before proceeding with the steps below, power the bike off, remove the battery, and power cycle the bike to clear any remaining electrical charge.

1. Remove the brake rotor.
2. Remove all six bolts from the motor shell cover plate.
3. Remove the axle nuts, then remove the core from the wheel.
4. Keep all removed parts together in a safe location.
5. Wrap the core securely with packing paper and tape. (Alternative: Kitchen plastic wrap works well.)
6. Add additional layers of bubble wrap around the wrapped core.
7. Place the core inside a standard 10x10x10 shipping box.
8. Reinforce the box corners using extra cardboard sheets.
9. Place the wrapped core in the box and fill any empty space with additional bubble wrap to prevent movement during transit.
10. Close the box and tape all corners and seams securely.
11. Attach your shipping label and send the package to our service center!
