What can I do if my e-bike shuts down while riding?Updated 14 days ago
If your electric motorized bike suddenly powers off while riding, it has likely shut down temporarily to protect the motor and controller from becoming overtaxed or overheating.
Quick Reset Instructions
In most cases, you can clear this temporary thermal or power protection shut-off by performing a quick battery reset:
- Remove the Battery: Turn off the bike and remove the battery pack from the frame.
- Wait 10–15 Seconds: Leave the battery disconnected for at least 10 to 15 seconds to allow the system to reset.
- Reinstall & Power On: Reinstall the battery securely, turn the bike back on, and resume normal operation.
