X‑Class 60V: How to store your batteryUpdated 20 days ago

Battery Storage

Proper storage can significantly extend your e-bike battery's lifespan, especially if you won't be riding for several weeks or months. Lithium-ion batteries degrade faster when stored fully charged or completely empty, and extreme temperatures accelerate this wear. Follow these simple steps to keep your battery healthy during off-season or extended breaks from riding.

  1. Charge to ~50 % (around 58–60 V).
  2. Turn the battery off and remove it from the bike.
  3. Store indoors at 50–70 °F, dry and off the floor.
  4. Every 3 months, top up to ~60 % again.

Avoid storing the battery in either a fully empty state or a fully charged state for long periods.
