1
Preparation and disassembly
- Remove the two bolts securing the plastic tray located under the seat.
- Roll the plastic tray out of the way to access the tail light mounting bracket.
- Remove the two nuts that hold the tail light to its bracket.
- Clip the zip ties from the forward portion of the plastic tray, then remove the tray completely from the bike.
2
Cable adjustment and relocation
- Locate the tail light extension cable and cut any zip ties holding it in place.
- Make sure all zip ties preventing the cable from stretching fully toward the rear are cut.
- Once there is sufficient slack, locate the tail light connector at the rear port of the frame, near where the cable enters.
- Disconnect the tail light and move it to the rear rack.
3
Installation on rear rack
- Route the cable using one of these two methods:
- If the cable is long enough, run it back through the frame to the rear port.
- Alternatively, run the cable to the center hole in the tail light mount and then back to the tail light.
- Secure the tail light by tightening the nuts with an 8 mm wrench.⚠
Caution: Do not overtighten the nuts — only snug them up.
- Reconnect the tail light.
Tip: Make sure the arrows on the connectors point directly at each other before clicking them together.
4
Final assembly
- Use zip ties to secure the cable in place and bundle any remaining cable back to the frame.
- Reinstall the plastic tray by following the removal steps in reverse order.
