How do I request an unlock passcode for my PPB?Updated 4 hours ago
Our Private Property Bikes (PPBs) are high-power vehicles sold for private property and off-road use only. If your PPB's speed limit setting asks for a passcode, request one through our Off-Road Unlock Request form. It takes about 5 minutes.
Before you start
- Wait until your bike has been delivered, assembled and powers on. The form needs serial numbers from the bike itself, so we can't issue a passcode before delivery.
What you'll need
- Bike order number: the 5-digit number from your bike's order confirmation email. Use the order for the bike itself, not a parts or replacement order.
- Frame serial number: stamped on the lower front of the head tube. Turn the handlebars and gently lift the cables to see the full number.
- Display or motor serial number: you only need one. The display serial is on the back of the display.
- MAC address (Grizzly 72V only): see the Grizzly 72V article linked below.
- Your details: name, contact info, date of birth, and the type and last 4 characters of a government ID.
- Where you'll ride: your state and the private property or off-highway vehicle (OHV) area you have permission to use.
- Second owners: a bill of sale.
Who qualifies
- Riders 18 and older who own a PPB.
- Riding on private property or an OHV area you have permission to use.
- Unlocks are not available where high-power vehicles are restricted by law.
- The information on the form must match our records. We review every request and may decline one that doesn't fit PPB ownership, age or private-property use.
After you submit
We review unlock forms Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time. Once your request is approved, we email your passcode with steps for your model. If something doesn't match our records, we'll ask you for a corrected form.
Common reasons a request comes back
- The order number is from a canceled order or a parts order.
- The serial number or MAC address has a typo.
- If you received a replacement display, keypad or controller, install it first, then re-submit the form.
- A bill of sale is missing for a second owner.
Keep your passcode private, and wear a helmet and protective gear every ride.
