What’s happening

The controller hit its thermal/current limit. This happens to help mitigate potential damage to your controller or motor by reducing the load those components are under. This can be mitigated by pedaling the bike or even using the walk mode if the hill is too steep.

Fix

1. Stop and let the bike cool for 5 minutes.
2. Use a lower PAS level and pedal as much as you can to assist the motor.
