Can I access the advanced (P9) settings on my ebike display?

Learn about accessing advanced (P9) settings on your Ariel Rider ebike display and why these settings are restricted to factory and service technicians only.

Display flickers or resets. — X‑Class 60V

Display flickers or resets: tighten the mount, reseat the display connector under the bar, ensure battery >56 V, then power‑cycle and re‑test.

Headlight or horn not working. — X‑Class 60V

Headlight or horn not working: trace the 2‑pin plug from light to harness; reseat until it clicks and ensure the wire isn’t pinched at the fork crown.

Bike won’t turn on. — X‑Class 60V

X‑Class 60V won’t power on? Reseat the battery, hold power 3 s, check the fuse and make sure the XT90 is fully seated; inspect the main harness under the handlebar.

Bike powers on but dies while riding. — X‑Class 60V

Powers on then dies while riding: reseat the main harness, look for heat‑marked pins, charge above 56 V, and test on PAS 1–2; record a short video if it repeats.

Red exclamation mark on display. — X‑Class 60V

Red exclamation mark (E30): display ↔ controller communication fault. Reseat the A1 display cable and power‑cycle; inspect pins and dry any moisture.

Throttle not responding. — X‑Class 60V

Throttle not responding: power off, reseat the purple 3‑pin throttle plug, check for bent pins; if E05 appears after a restart, replace the throttle.

Pedal assist not working. — X‑Class 60V

No pedal assist: set the PAS magnet disc ≤2 mm from the sensor, restart the bike, and reseat the PAS cable. Test again in PAS 1.
